Teach groove in our schools!

These folks were all playing together, and they all had chops. But their chops took a lot of chopping to feel like a song. It’s not the kind of track that wants to be snapped to a grid, but it also can’t sound like five players in separate rooms where they can’t hear and respond to one another.

A lot of players, even in the studio, feel compelled to shred when they should probably be disappearing into the sonic presentation as a whole. A song is a team sport, or something like that….
